My girlfriend got me one of these for a x-mas gift. Do any of you run one?

One of the best quality intakes on the market. I've always like the K&N brand.
Always in stock. http://shop.microimageonline.com/KN-...69-8612TFK.htm

I'm running it, too. Very happy with it.
A couple of vids I made of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wUXhlZWIfg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zvP9djgRzg

I got one, I really like it. I got the K&N DryCharger pre-filter as well. Only thing I didn't like about it is it'll get heat soaked in city driving. I solved that by wrapping the intake pipe, top of the MAF sensor, and the engine-side of the heat shield with heat reflecting material. ;)

Hopefully I'm going to put it on Friday, and now putting my Trd exhaust back on too. Lazagna other than city driving do you think it was getting cool enough air otherwise?

I am confused about whether the K&N Typhoon for the Yaris is an SRI or a CAI? I have a 2012 Yaris SE (5 spd. manual) and due to cold climate and bad weather, I would prefer an SRI rather than a CAI. What is the correct model number for me? (even if it is a 2011 or earlier listing)

The K&N intake is a SRI (Short Ram Intake) with an included heat shield, just like the AFE version.
I do have one very gently used K&N intake WITHOUT the shield for $145 shipped. Email ONLY: mcroimg@gmail.com

I use my K&N without the shield and don't notice much difference honestly. (from when I ran the shield on it) It's a bit expensive but well built and comes with good instructions for installation. It makes the car sound good too. :)

As long as you're moving, the intake air temperature is fine. If you're in stop and go or creeping along in a packed parking lot trying to find a spot, that's when the temperatures will rise up. I just used that heat reflective material just to limit any chances of heat soaking as I'm not usually in stop and go traffic.

Put the typhoon on today. Didn't drive a lot after, but enough to know I love it. I'll get a pic up soon.
