Fog Lights Installed - and a Thanks

Last Thursday I finally got my fogs installed by a body place in Lexington. I went armed with the instructions that came in the MI kit (updated ones) plus the instructions provided here in the forums for hooking them up to the park lights.

I gave the box and printed instructions (with photos and penciled-in notes) to the people working on the car, and the install went without a hitch.

I just wanted to say thanks to all who helped explain connecting the fogs to the park light switch. They work like a wonder, and I am grateful for Yarisworld and the ppl here.

That's great!
I, OTOH, need to get a new set of fogs since my install wasn't all that great. I ended up frying the cables.

Sorry. I just saw these posts again. I did post pics on another topic, but I will throw one on here too.

Garm's kit had everything needed to hook up to the park lights, except for a jumper wire that goes between a couple of wires under the dash. I had printed out specific instructions for the body shop doing the work. They did a good job. There is the under-hood wiring and the under-dash wiring included in the box I got. All of the under-hood wiring was used, but only the relay was used for the fusebox, plus the jumper between the two wires that allowed the fogs to come on with the park lights.

Works great, BTW. I will try to find that post that someone gave me showing the jumped wires!

^ It was $100 bucks. While I was there (all day long) I got 3 dings fixed for $50 each too. But it was $100 for the install of the fogs. So the whole deal was under $200 for lights and installation. I was happy to pay it, just to roll in that evening and pick up the car with working fog lights. :)
