Used 2007 Yaris RS MT 140000km(86000miles)
Hi Guys/Gals,
I am new to the forums and I've been considering a used 07 Yaris RS. I am looking for a used vehicle that will be reliable since I will be out on the road for my new job. I am wondering if a used 2007 Yaris RS 5spd MT with 140,000KM (86,000 miles) be a good choice or is that too much clicks on the car? I definitely will do my due diligence in getting a CarFax/CarProof and an independent mechanic to look at the vehicle if I were to purchase it. The price on it is pretty decent ($5900 CAD). Let me know what your thoughts are on this people Cheers, Hitikiro. |

You can find an 08 or newer with less miles for a few thousand more. I'd look at dealers so you get a warranty. I just bought a 2009 for 11k with 35k miles, and they gave me an extended 100,000 mile warranty.

Carfax doesn't tell you everything. What I found more revealing than CarFax was registering the VIN # with http://www.toyota.com/owners/ and viewing the service history of the car (assuming all work was performed at a dealership). CarFax showed the car was perfect (no accidents, no problems). The Toyota service history showed my used car had been well maintained but some body work was done (noted as "Exterior Trim", the detailed work order showed there was a scratch that was repaired on the rear bumper).
But for some reason, when I tried to access it today, the detail of that work order is now blank (even though the listing is intact, showing "Exterior Trim"). $5900 CAN is currently ~ $5961 USD. Sounds like a good deal. That's about 1/2 the price of my 08 with 17.8k miles (base, base, base car). |
