Sedan Front Speaker Install

I tried searching, but can't seem to see any threads

To install new front speakers in the sedan, I would have to: remove the door panel, cut out the old speaker, splice/connect the new wires to the OEM, and screw the new speaker over the old bracket/spacer?

Thanks.

Use a drill and small drill bit to remove the rivets. And that whole plastic piece is attached to the speaker. Cut out the speaker and re use the bracket.

OR you can make your own out of MDF or buy plastic spacers.

Dang, I was hoping that I didn't have to drill out those three rivets. Guess I won't be installing the speakers at the apartment parking lot. LMAO.

Thanks.

I have purchased two sets of speaker spacers from this guy. They're good stuff. He ships quickly and it's a direct fit. I highly recommend them
