On the topic of organizing the Yaris, I bought a tupperware for the hatch area. It allows me to put my dusty tools back there without getting the area dirty and it also allows me to remove everything all at once. What does everyone put in those shelves that are next the the hvac/radio stack?

What is the whole foam thing??? did I miss something...
I was wondering what the two containers are for by the tire. I tried to put my tools in there but they rattle to much, so I am looking for a tupperware like container that fit's... |

Someone made carpet-covered inserts out of foam for some of the glove boxes with slots specifically cut to things like his iPod and such. Can't remember who did it, but it was a while ago.
I think its a great idea. |

I also found some semi-sticky stuff (think rubber post-it) to put inside my driver side glove box so my excedrin bottle, sunglasses & other necessary junk doesn't roll around making noise. |

For the little compartment to the left of the steering wheel I cut down a mousepad to fit perfect in there so I could put my gps/pda in there without having to put it in a case. Works perfect. GPS doesnt move at all. I also use a cut mousepad just in front of the guages so I can set my IPod on there while im driving. Doesnt move a bit.

I don't usually carry much stuff with me... phone goes into the driver's cupholder, ipod is connected to the stereo by a cable that goes in the top passenger glove compartment, manuals, insurance papers in the bottom passenger glove box, sunglasses in the driver-side top glovebox, and that's basically it...
The pockets next to the AC controls hold CDs quite nicely, for a temporary solution.

In the passenger's compartment I have the car's papers.
In the driver's I have my CDs and in the middle I have coins for the tolls.
