what went wrong?

So, spent about 7 hours on my birthday today installing aftermarket front and rear speakers, and an amp.
Got the speakers hooked up to the HU, and tested each one for sound as I went. All good.
Connected the amp, ran the RCA in/outs and then connected the speaker wires from the factory harness area. Now all I get is a warbly chirping whining noise out of the speakers.
I won't be able to tear back into it until tomorrow night, meanwhile, any ideas of what might have gone wrong?
Thanks!

Nodrog

Did you hook the speakers up to the deck or the amp.....turn down all gains on amp,and check your connections.

The lines from the deck to the factory harness were cut, and the speaker wires were then connected to the factory harness from the amp.

Sometimes these things turn out to be simple fixes.
Congratulations!
