2007 Yaris center armrest

I just purchased a 2007 Yaris hatchback and am looking for a center armrest to install. I found several on line, but got confused about which one to purchase. Does anyone have any suggestions on which one will work for me? I saw what I think is one that fits into the cup holder that is right behind the parking brake? I may be wrong about this. Thanks for your help!

It would help if you put up links to ones that you are looking at. All armrests, whether Toyota original or aftermarket, fit into that cupholder.

Fyi, unless you are 6'6" and drive with your seat slid all the way back, the bulk of armrests available are close to useless. For the average person, the rest area is so short it offers little more than elbow support.

I installed the OEM armrest in my 2007. It took just a few minutes to install. Yes, it fit in the cup holder behind the parking brake. I liked it very much; it provided good support for my arm.

I didn't know there was an OEM armrest for a gen 2, neat. Never seen one in the wild.

I sold the armrest here on the forum after I sold my 2007. Perhaps a yarisworld member has one for sale(?).

From what I recall, a primary complaint about the OE armrest was interference with shifting a m/t. I just looked one up on eBay and it actually makes the statement for a/t only. Also unsure if it fits a Gen3. Don't think so.

^^^ Fits 06-11 only. I can see that it may interfere with shifting for some drivers. It does flip up and out of the way very easily.

I have one in my 2014 M/T, never had any issues with shifting. Even before I had the TRD short shifter assembly.
