LED footwell lighting

My first mod on my brand new yaris! Anyways, I followed the links on here, specifically: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12220
and it was a very easy install. And now for the pics:

I got the real factory taps for the pink and blue wires. I figured the LEDs dont use up too much power so I dont need a relay.

Then routed the wires behind everything as best I could.

Final result with cell phone pic

And my car all shiny and clean!

Nice! I've got blue ones in mine, about to add some more because it's not quite as bright as I want. My driver's side dash is just full of crap lol. I have my iPod interface, underglow control box, and under dash lighting all stuffed in there haha.

hey..that's how the big shops got started...doin stuff for friends and fam. good deal. keep it up. one thing though, keep an eye out on those wires. take a little more time to hide them and it'll be a seriously clean install. a few zip ties or some electric tape, never use quick splicing jobs like crimp connectors, route wires where factory wires are at and you're good.

any way, keep up the good work.

I have green LED lighting installed in my Yaris. I have it placed under the seat facing towards the front of the car as I found having them under the dash cause problems and rubbing when using the clutch on the drivers side. My girlfriend loved them so much she had me install blue ones in here Charade. Cheap and easy to do and adds that extra awesomesauce to an already awesomesauce car.

I thought about doing the light under the seat too, but in all honesty, its wayyy up in the dash! Above the steering wheel thingy on the drivers side and behind the plastic cover on under the glovebox on the passenger side. I might have to come back to that idea though cuz I got a few more lights that I could use for the back seat, but first, mudguards :D

Since the kit I bought is just a twin pack of 6" LED strips that has a single connector to the cigarette light, it works quite well. You can't see any cables unless you actually look under my seat in which you can see the LED strip. I just tucked the excess cables inside the centre console. You can easily lift the sides and tuck the cables under it. :)
