New member here in Hawaii. This Yaris was an emergency purchase since my '17 Subaru Forester crapped out on me. Somehow I ended up with a Canadian Yaris. The speedo and odo are in kilometers.
I had an '02 Echo before the Forester and it was a good car. It had 300,000 miles on it when I sold it and it was still looking and running great. This Yaris looks similar with the same engine so I hope it lasts as long as the Echo. I bought the Forester new thinking all Japanese cars are the same except for maybe Nissan. Boy was I wrong. The Subaru was a POS compared to my previous Toyota, nothing but problems. The parts are weak. I just had the clutch changed last year due to a squealing throwout bearing but then the clutch fork cracked. So the transmission had to come out again. Now the shop tells me the transmission is "sticking" and can't fix it. I don't know what do with. I don't care if I never see it again and take a total loss on it. Now I'm of the opinion that Toyota makes the best cars period. Last edited by Pasable; 02-07-2023 at 05:29 PM. Reason: added photo |
