How can I play my Android phone's audio directly into my Yaris's basic audio system?
I recently bought an 2008 Yaris. It comes with an audio system that looks like this
It comes with a CD slot, FM and AM. But it can't play the stuff from my Android smartphone. What are the options to make use of the car's speakers? I prefer an inexpensive solution. I understand I can buy an FM transmitter. But perhaps it would be better if there was some way to connect the smartphone to the audio system by a line. Is there something at the back of the audio system that lets me connect it directly? I think the audio would be much better than by FM transmitter. |

My aux port, 2008 3 door hatchback, is on the center console next to the parking brake and the stock stereo is clearly marked with a Disc-Aux button. Is your owner's manual in the glove box? There is a section about the audio system.

I believe with that particular HU you are out of luck. There is no aux capability.

Castles & malibuguy, I'll check user manual and see if there's an auxiliary port.
Weeyari, you may be right. |

I checked the user manual, and it didn't mention an auxiliary/line port.
I see no ports on center console or in glove box either. Is there any way I can splice my phone's audio into car's audio system? (Preferably something direct... In other words, not FM transmitter) |

I use an AM/FM transceiver. buy this one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 High quality, sexy german male voice tells you its connected, and it has noise cancelation so you get alot of harmonic resonance from the ungrounded chassis canceled out. |

eBay is probably littered with Toyota OE units that do have an aux port for cheap. Sent from my Elite_5_5_Octa using Tapatalk
