Worldwide - Cost to register your Yaris
I just got my car registration renewal papers in the mail. I've noticed that they keep creeping up in cost every year. So I’m starting this thread to see what everyone else pays for there car registration worldwide.
I'm asking that you post your car registration cost, broken down into it's components in this thread so we all can compare the cost. Please state what country, state or territory, province, cost in your currency and state what your currency is. For example, here is mine. Country: Australia Currency: Australian Dollar State or Territory: Victoria Province: N/A Brake down of registration: $178.00 Registration Fee $378.80 TAC Charge (Traffic Accident Commission) <- This covers you medically if your involved in an accident, it also covers others you may injure in result of an accident e.g. pedestrians, people on pushbikes, other passengers. $37.80 Insurance Duty Total cost: $593.80 a year.

That's cool how it's assingned by name. What if your a female and your surname is say Allen and then you get married and your surname becomes Hellmuth, would you have to pay twice that year? How would that work?

Vermont
$40/year US for registration $25-$35/year for annual inspection (every car has to pass inspection) $650/year Insurance (full coverage and a better than "required" policy) I write SO many checks to the Dept of Motor Vehicles it is sickening...... I spend $360 in registrations (which counts the toys too.... boat, atv's trailers)
