'08 Yaris Program Key Fob (Dealer installed alarm)
My '08 Yaris 4D has the dealer installed alarm, the one with the LED / switch mounted on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. The key-fob is not built into the key.
One of my key-fobs is going haywire (i replaced the battery twice), so I got a new one from Toyota. My question is how do I program the alarm/key-fob to use the new one? The generic pamphlet that came with the alarm states that up to 4 key-fobs can be programed, but it doesn't say how! Thanks, |

If it is a real OEM alarm, then this is the procedure for adding the new fob:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...19&postcount=6 Someone recently posted that they were having fob issues and tried reprogramming. That did not work, so they tried disconnecting the battery to reboot the alarm ECU, and that did work.

I don't think it is an OEM alarm. I tried the procedure you linked to several times and my systems does not respond to it.
I guess the fun part is now I have to try to figure out what the dealer installed. Ugh! |
