For the front if you want to tuck in your front wheels, it doesn't matter the offset really. What it is, is the plastic liner that you have to remove which gets in the way of the suspension movement. When you are cornering hard the wheel comes up and rubs against the liner.

For me I have about a half inch gap from the tire to the wheel well.

I guess you already have a set of Tein Basics?

no wasn't trying to be mean to you, I hear you now, I wasn't sure where you were going with that, yes of course all that can be modified but I will totally agree with you, the teins are way to soft for serious tracking

I have 205/50/15 tires so no worries about rubbing really

I think they Teins are good for those who want the adjustability as an option. For a performance oriented setup. you might want something with a bit more stiffness or go the way of adding beefier front anti-roll bars.

For the liner issue. Yeah. you probably don't want to take it out. Just don't lower it too much. But on my other cars (older cars) they didn't come with liners in the wheel wells.

big time mess, I would not recommend driving this car without the liners at all

yes soft but I have no roll to complain about driving my car like a psycho all over town, so I think they do a lot more for handling than simply riding low, if I just wanted to ride low I would have hacked my springs

no seriously, I had a set of springs on the car that lowered it 1.9 (as pictured in the garage) and the teins have a totally different feel than the lowering springs with stock dampers, much improvement

I want to lower my Yaris. What do you think of installing just springs as oppose to coilovers? I would rather install coilovers so that i can have the ability to adjust the ride height for driving conditions, but i'm not sure i'm ready to spend close to $1,000 for them. I figure installing just the springs and keeping the stock shocks would be less of a dent in my wallet. What you think, is it worth investing in coilovers? Is it worth just getting springs? Help! Thanx.

i was in same boat as you were. I was gonna do springs but its depends what you want to do. For me, im tuner i like to play around with cars. So Tein comes with adjustments its something i would like. Tune the coilover and find my "perfect" spot.

Don't worry 39: if they ride too stiff for you I'm SURE someone would happily buy them off of you (cough, cough.....) and if you wanted to switch back to just springs that someone may have a nice soft set of tein springs that they could offer already attached to stock struts for REEEEEALLY cheap (cough, cough..... ). So don't worry

is it possible to adjust the front adjusting knob without removing the whippers and whipper cover ??

Yes. I cut my adjusting knobs down about 1.5". You can turn them, but it's a bit difficult. Now I just need to install the rest of the suspension.

For an adjustable knob suspension, you'll want to take that entire metal part off that has the wiper motor to put the adjusters on.

It's too bad they didn't use a shock with the adjuster on the bottom like the SK's... it makes it much easier to adjust, just turn the wheels one way and you have full access to the adjuster.

I'm looking at getting 7kg springs for the front for the Megans.
