0 pressure will throw your stock oil idiot light (supposed to light up under 10 psi), so it's probably not actually 0.

Thee is no need for high zinc oil on these cars.

I really only used the high zinc oil because, it was given to me for free, and my buddy who gave it to me said it was a good oil to break in. I am running 5w 30 Royal Purple.

After some investigation i found the seal on my oil pan is giving out. Not dripping oil. But there is definitely a residue. Its gotten worse over night. I am going to let the car cool down for a while, drain the oil, take the oil pan off, and re seal it. I bought a new oil drain pan so I know I wont have any problems re using the Royal Purple i just bought yesterday.

EDIT: Forgot to thank you Garm. What you say is what I kinda figured, because I was't getting any lights. If after I re seal the oil pan it still drops to 0 on the gauge, then its got to be a bad sensor, right? Nothing else it could be?

^ Could be a crimped or block line or fitting, but again, that would mean it really is 0 pressure which is (1) really bad and (2) would cause the stock light to fire

Yeah, IDK. I'm about to go take the oil pan and filter with sandwich adapter off, gotta check to make sure anything is not blocking the sensor. I realized that when i took the pan and that nozzle thing that is inside the upper oil pan assemble off, i forgot to put the gasket back on the nozzle. I'm def going to take it off and put the gasket back on. But if the gasket was causing real oil pressure loss, the light would come on like you have mentioned before.

I check the filter adapter and it seems alright. I rewired the ground from my oil sensor. Didn't change anything.

oil pressure drops

I highly doubt you have 0 oil pressure, which means it's most likely user error on the gauge. If the ground checks out, check the +12v wire and make sure it's not getting intermittently grounded. Also, where are you drawing +12v from?

What would cause the +12v wire to intermittently ground out? I have it tapped into the switched wire for my head unit. The gauge worked perfectly before, then one day about a week ago it starts dropping to zero...

EDIT: I know for a fact its not the wiring, that I did at least. I piggy backed like wires together. All gauges are working, theres got to be something wrong with my sensor/sending unit.
