Worst investment Alpine CDA-9855, Precision power A600/4 amplifier, A/D/S 345CS component speakers and a 400$ install/custom job. Worthy mention The S trim kit (known as the Aero kit in Canada) for the sedan is a great addition to the car. Without it, even the sedan looks like an egg :P |

Best Investment: NST SSK (I drive with the seat pushed all the way to the back for more comfortable legroom, but without NST SSK, it was a little hard to push the gear into 5th that I had to ues my middle finger to barely put it in gear.)
Worst Investment: Well...this is why I am in this thread. Not trying to make any bad investment. Which means, none so far for me.

BEST INVESTMENT: The rear window wiper option. I didn't think it was important but now use it all the time.
WORST INVESTMENT: Power windows, feels ridiculous on this type of car. WORTHY MENTION: Sony MP3/USB unit and 14" 5 spoke Motegi wheels, both lifted from my previous car, 2000 Civic HB. |

Best investment Buying a Yaris
Worst investment there wont be any as i bought the car to save money so wasting $$$ on chrome shiny bits and pieces defeats the purpose of the purchase. |

Best: Megan Coilovers and NST drivetrain products (shifters, bushings)
Worst: Virtual Fuzzy Dice air freshener -- it hangs right in my line of sight.

Best investments: 15-20 bucks a tank @ 2.05/gal, tein springs, dash mat, tint, reusable air filter (k&n).
Worst: Sadly I don't ever learn, first gauge set up (2nd is way nicer looking), cheap eBay power/keyless kit"S", Weapon R seat brackets, Redline shiftboot (probably because of my choice of fabric), aluminum lug nuts. Worthy mention: Tanabe touring medalion, 6000k h.i.d.

Best- TRD sway bar, along with better tires.
Worst- Parrot Bluetooth speaker, it doesn't work very good when driving.

Best investments: Haven't sunk any money in the car yet. That is my best investment.
Will probably get a GPS unit and maybe some plastic mats to protect the cute factory mats that came with the car. Worse investments: getting an aftermarket alarm / keyless entry installed at the dealership without shopping around for prices first. This is a really cool thread. All yours. - - - BUMP. |

I love my power everything available; the Nitro in the tires; the installed 5000 GPS that is concealed in the passengers side glove box including a backup camera; the roominess inside the yaris; the color, all are nice, the scan guage, the radio and cd and the MP3; Put the trim on the doors and on the back where it opens in a liftback; Sold my new Lexus and the only thing I miss are the cornering lights on the Lexus...NOTHING ELSE...Love my 2DR liftback.... |

I personally can't see owning this car without the TRD shocks, springs and rear sway bar. I had the dealer install all three before driving it off the lot.
I drove a stock model a couple of months later and was astonished by how poorly it handled. With the exception of the rare frost heave, the TRD suspension sacrifices little in terms of ride quality.

Best (where to begin): TRD lowering springs, NST SSK cabin and engine, Infiniti speakers and Fusion 10" 400W sub, and window tinting.
Worst: None yet, I read reviews of products before buying. Honorable mention: Weathertech wind visors (I like the way they look and help keep wind noise down - not to mention keep rain out when window is cracked)

worst: paying some to smoke my tail lights, but only putting 3 coats because thats what the can said and i'm a paranoid girl. the guy told me it wouldnt look as bad ass i wanted, but I wanted to "follow the rules".. and now i regret we didnt do more coats whenever i look at my car =( and i dont trust myself to take out my lights, nor do i want to pay him again
best: buying my yaris!!! hopefully my FUTURE best mods will be window tint, debadging/blacking badges, and sway bar. eventually.. i hope.. lowering isnt out of the question either, i just really want to see how a lowered car drives first.. |
