I have the Tanebe Medallion Touring and am pretty happy with it.
Relatively quiet when going easy and sporty when you step on it!
The set-up looks great too.

Megan Racing exhaust here and its a quite little thing. Ive had people ask if I even had an exhaust, because when i cruise up...its quite as crap.

But the best part is the deep tone, and opens up nice and loud.

Do you think your comment was helpful to the thread?
HKS, Greddy, Tanabe concept G, and a few others.

Yes it was helpful because I was able to help someone who did not want an obnoxiously loud exhaust.

It is quite noisy, but darn do I love it! Doesn't bother me a bit.

And knew exactly what models you were talking about by just saying "ricer exhaust"? (Other than Greddy of course, because it definitely looks like a typical ricer can. )

I thought the TiC was kinda loud personally.

Greddy SP and PE on the other hand... very tasteful sound. Unfortunately they aren't made for the Yaris.

Tanabe touring medallion is about the closest to the Greddy SP look and sound.

I noticed that too (about the exhausts on both cars). I think it's louder when it's cold?

Hey largeorangefont, where did you order your imco muffler? Did you go to a shop, or did you order online somewhere?

Next time I go to a meet, I'm going to listen to everyone's exhaust.

Thanks for all the input. See I'm getting a 240 and that's gonna be 3" straight pipe so I want something that will be fun when I step on it but when I'm cruising I just wanna be able to relax. Is there anything that's not just an axle back that isn't loud?

I have the Greddy Ti-C, thinking about it selling it soon.

S13? S14? S15? My friend's S14 was pretty loud with his exhaust system. My suggestion is to avoid canister mufflers. Maybe one of these for that 240:

Got it from my friends muffler shop. If you can get a Thrush turbo muffler it is essentially the same thing. The muffler is kind of an unpopular size, so you may want to work with a muffler shop to order it for you, Or get it yourself and bring it in.

Cost on the muffler is around $25. You shouldn't pay more than $50 to get it welded on.

Go see your local muffler shop. You should be able to have a custom catback built with a resonator, and turbo style muffler for around $150. Fancy tips will drive the price up, but it will be a bit louder, but quiet. Actually no resonator and a turbo muffler might be perfect for what you are looking for.

The Magnaflow and Flowmaster mufflers will drone a bit, and cost twice as much at least. If you want to relax, stay away from these mufflers

Thank you largeorangefont, but just one more question. Which one of these Thrush mufflers are similar to yours?
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...5&autoview=sku

I apologize for my bombardment of questions, but seriously, I'm in a hurry to switch out my muffler. Your help is greatly appreciated!
