First time to the track I missed second 4 times out of 12 or so runs. My theory is that the engine was bucking around too much and throwing the linkage out of alignment. After installing the damper I got from Garm I only missed second once in 12 runs. Not bad on a stock clutch.
So yeah, the torque damper does help, both with getting power to the ground and keeping your cables where they ought to be. |

@Castrex:
TRD Rollstopper: TRD motor mounts: I have various other TRD bushings I also received for the Yaris.

that's a gorgeous part Garm. i find it sad that "TRD" went to all the effort but didn't do urethane inserts though :(

hmmmm i want these ic ant stand how much engine movement our cars have. I thought i had a broken motor mount and had another tech in my shop check while i pushed on the gas witht he foot on the brake. but no our engines just have that much excessive movement because of the crappy mounts.

I would consider changing the dogbone but one that is not too sollid. Kinda a middle ground.

I just picked up a TRD dogbone from Garm!!
Is cheaper than the urethane beatrush one and I hope it will provide a mild improvement over the stock bone... I've read reviews about the full urethane one and accoridng to a couple of people it was a bit to hardcore for every day use. Last edited by CASTREX; 07-09-2009 at 06:38 PM. |

I'm putting one in my car too. More ordered and on the way -- I intend to stock a bunch of TRD mounts and bushings.

I see you're smoking a tiburon in the photo. Did you actually beat it down the track?
