WOW ! Nice results there garm...

Re: 30psi... remember that T28 turbo is rated at max 320Hp and you are already beyond. I am really curious how much efficient boost this turbo can effectively push?

Re: Rpm limit.. it seems that @ 24psi began loosing power beyond 6500rpm. Did you replace the valve springs as from April 20 session? just a thought

Good luck !

^ don't know yet, seems pretty fast

Parmas, I believe that is the log manifold holding us back at 24 psi and above, and not the springs. I think we are near the end of the T28 efficiency, but I'm not ready to move up to a T30 quite yet.

I agree not to move up to a T30 turbo since you will probably need to modify the exhuast manifold.

What log manifold are you referring to?

BTW what transmission model are you using?

geeez if anything, id say that TOO much power! I can imagine anything much over 200 whp would start making track days a difficult experience.

what kind of axles are you using? Anything special done to the transmission? Are you still sticking to autox? what about full track days?

no way, it's great fun.

Axles are fortified by Drive Shaft Shop. Transmission is stock USDM 5-speed.

For autocross, I'll use low boost at 14 psi. Low/high boost is on a switch on my dash. High boost for road coarse, drag racing, and anyone that wants to (safely) mess with me on the street.

Parmas, this is my manifold. An equal-length tube manifold could recapture some of the mid-range torque I lost, and make more power all around. Definitely on the list of things to do in the future.

I have mine for sale if you want ... at least yours weighs less

Is your transmission a C54 or a C150?

Im not real familiar with fwd's still... what does that mean to fortify your front axles?

how does that low/high switch work? change ecu settings and valve settings on the wastegate?? thats pretty sweet

"fortify" means they are rebuilt to withstand more torque. I think my axles are rated to about 600 torque, but I'd have to go back and look that up to be sure.

AEM EMS is tuned with two maps and controls boost, fuel, timing, water pump, radiator fans, water/meth, cold-start routine, rev limit, speed limit, anti-lag for launching, etc.

low switch: 14 psi, no water/meth. High switch: 24 psi, water/meth on, different map removing extra fuel to account for water/meth, etc.

Out of random curiosity, how's your fuel efficiency with this setup?

what kind of cars do you blow away on the road/highway in those
'pretend races' (stop light stuff) ?

should you ...ya know....stomp it and the other person stomps theirs ?

or do you never do that....

jusr for reference vs other stock cars nowadays. must be able to drop
a lot of cars.

I haven't measured miles for a tank yet -- probably pretty good still if I baby it.

Always fun to keep up with or beat the STI's, Mustang GT's, Corvettes and such. Porsche, Ferrari, and other exotics are a little tougher.

That is, IF I did that kind of thing.

holy crap that is what I thought. mustangs, vettes...

I had a Renault R5 turbo 1 [with added mods to push it from
about 170 to 207 hp] one two-year period. fugger was fast.

I can -almost- imagine 100 more HP on a little car. dang
