The Hero has some really good reviews. Do you like it?

It's on my list. It's not at the top of my list because Spring coverage is kind of spotty in my area, but it looks like a really cool phone

I like it I have had Sprint for 9 years never had a problem. I originaly signed up in PuertoRico when I lived there and still got my 787 area code on both of my phones. using it up in the US. no problems 2, as to coverage it gets an A from me and phones A as well

coverage for any carrier depends on location, and out here in SF, it varies literally block by block

no, it's the geography that s.cks here. SF alone has 43 hills. Sometimes you get coverage on one side of the street but not on the other, I'm not making it up, but that's all 4 carriers.

I like the HTC Hero A LOT, though. It's a great phone.

Verizon has the best coverage here but it's also the most expensive.

As I said a while back, I got a HTC Sprint Hero for Christmas and love it! My old phone looked like it came from the 1980s, so it took a week or so for me to adjust; but now I absolutely can't live without it!

It does what I need to do.

Here's my phone:

How long does the battery last you approx., do you know?

Yeah, I'm really impressed, it does A LOT.

I'm going to go have a close look at it tonight.

Right now the HTC Hero is one of only 2 or 3 phones out there that can do pinch zoom (multitouch). Kudos !

Honestly, I don't know about the battery life because I keep mine charging most of the time. But during the few times I didn't, it depended on how much I surfed the 'Net or used the GPS (two battery-draining capabilities).

And the pinch-zoom is really an excellent feature, especially for old guys like myself. It really is an exceptional phone, and now I wonder how I ever lived without one...

Cheers! M2

CNET only gives it 3.5 stars (presumably because now there are more sophisticated phones out there for the Hero to compete with) but I don't know, it sure looks like a sweet little device to me and the carrier's plan is the most flexible for my needs. Can't wait to go see it in person.

I wonder what Apple is going to say tomorrow, will they announce a 4g iPhone for June?

^ I'm sorry, I misspoke. I meant "out of the box" ;)

Yeah, if I understood correctly, any Droid can do it.

Android FTW! I have an old G1, and also recently got an HTC Tattoo, its much smaller, though the screen is nowhere as good, but the OS and user interface is excellent
