Thanks....we worked a bit more on fine tuneing the latch, that pulled it down a bit ,also heated the tips a bit & bent them
down, before we painted....do not do this unless you have you try it out on a piece of glass to learn how to do it.

Overall I would buy the hood again,I can't build one for 250.00 nor would I want to..lol much easier to buy one from garm. I like it!

thanks you can see on the left the worse area we could really not bend enough without really altering the overall hood shape, overall its not bad.

Talking

got the prototype air box installed and hooked up,direct air from scoop to air box....drove all over today and it looks like a 10-15 degree drop in ia right off from stock intake to scoop intake....as far as my scan guage says ...also just by feel it feels like it has a bit more snap....well worth going forward and building a more fixed version.

ok i dont like to post protype pics due to i like a more finished look...but in the intrest of possible ideas from others ...here goes.

Hard to get a pic of the guts inside scoop, but its where the inlet vent starts.

The hood to hose seal is where i will be working on a more finished system, while this works just fine its just a test .

bottom of air box ,outlet ...will be removeing outlet screen ,dont like it,now that its on car.

will be sealing tube to factory air box way better while this is a seal i want 100% airtight.

My suggestion would be that you not restrict the airflow to such a small diameter tubing. I would get some kind of way to funnel the air into the airbox directly, like you have done, but use a more wide open approach. Either with an upgraded CAI, or hell, maybe even flip the toppart of the air box upside down, remove the underside, and build some kind of funnel that matches the shape of the box to the hood scoop. That'll really force some air down there, and then there will be an increase in power for sure.
