Well, this is a lot to try and sort through. Guess I'll just ask anyway: what is the potential downside (if any) to using the underdrive version rather than the CR Lite?

Took almost exactly 45 minutes with electric impact ratchet. Had a friend throw it in 5th and hold the brakes while I torqued her down (actually had to jack the car up higher just to get the clearance and a proper angle for the torque wrench).

Noticed a slight difference in revs and a very noticeable difference while passing in 3rd. Made the investment for fuel economy more than anything (my daily commute is 35 miles of mixed driving with a heavy foot, getting 35 +/-2 mpg now. If the results impress me at the pump, I might consider the Alt and WP pulley.

Anyone have anything to comment on upgrading from solely crank pulley to the combined 3?

Yup. Got my u-drive pulley installed on Friday, and I think it was closer to 30 mins, but maybe 45. I was excited! Same thing; had to jack the car up a bit more to get really good torque leverage. Its about as easy as anything you do on a car. The impact wrench makes it easy. Hardest thing is loosening the alternator lower-bolt.

Love the improved response and definitely better power in mid-gears. Not a huge increase, nut definitely noticeable from the get-go. I think driving on the regular commute route will reveal more as I approach the same roads I drive every day. No argument about the bang-for-the-buck argument; it is worth it.

Yeah I thought that would be a good idea, so that in combo with a cai, and good exauhst it should make a reasonable bit of difference.

My next purchase is the larger sway bar from micro or NST if I can get a hold of them.

Just got my Used Grey NST CR Lite Crank Pulley from tk-421. Thanks Bernie. It's in as new condition. I've done a bit of a search but I can't find a DIY for install. Is there one? I'm not even going to try to install this myself as i'm not mechanically minded, but i'd like to see how it's done and I have friends who are mechanically minded who could do it with instructions.

If there is no DIY how long would it take a mechanic to intall one?

I've been quoted $90 an hour labour and been told it may take an hour-an hour and a half!

Honestly , if it takes them an hour , find a new Mechanic.
put up on hoist (5 min)
take drives side front wheel of (5 min)
use air impact gun to remove pullie nut (5 min)
remove old pullie ,and put new one on . (5 min)
put nut back on and tighten (5 min )
(replace if need) and tighten alt belt (10min)
put wheel back on (5 min )
test belt tightnes (5min)
total 45min's
and thats taking it real easy.

oh and there was a DIY , but it was removed last month by it's creator.

I purchased my underdrive crank pulley a couple of months ago, and have driven approx 10,000 miles since so this review is not "I just got it and it revs better".

I've thought about what to say, how to describe it, what the benefits are and all the blah blah blah. But if someone wants to know if they should purchase the product or not they need something a little more like...

There is no reason not to buy this product.
