My experience is this... I paid a little over $100 for my crank pulley, and I have the NST flavor. The only hard thing about the install is the crank bolt, but other than that it is easy. Just bring a really strong friend. The part is certainly worth it... you'll notice quicker throttle response and more power, as well as a more efficient engine. If you're interested in playing with your 1NZ, this is a really good place to start.

Of course, don't buy anything other than NST or the YW Mafia will come to your house and kill your babies. That and you don't want to waste your money on anything less than the best.
They can't make a smaller crank pulley? I was refering to underdrives on the accesories. I would put a crank pulley on if it was balanced and had a dampening ring.

I was wondering if it would be a good thing to put on just for everyday driving. Just curious if it would increase your miles per gallon or have any other value then on the track or drag strip. Thanks for all the help guys.

"My friend and I were just walkin' by and we noticed you had ZIP pulley cranks on your car. It sure would be horrible if something ever happened to your car. So let me tell you somethin' my friend. If we come by here tomorrow and you don't have NST pulleys on there your baies are gonna be sleepin' with the fishes. See?"

It's just fine for daily driving, makes the engine response a little snappier, and some people do report it helping somewhat with mileage (but it won't be a huuuge improvement).

I saw ZPI's webshop and the pulley is now 79.99, which is a whopping $30 less than the NST. Hmm, now I have a problem deciding which one to get. :(

curik, why don't you IM Mike on AIM [NSTonAIM] and let him tell you why that $30 extra is money well spent.

When the ZPI pulley first came out it was something like $130. Then they had a "sale" because supposedly they sold so many and wanted to thank YarisWold. Funny how that came right around the time when they had sold some half-assed fart cans! The price dropped even lower recently.

If you want a copied pulley that is not hard anodized, from a company with a reputation of ripping off your fellow board members then by all means buy the ZPI version.

If you want the real deal from a company that does nothing but build pulleys for a living then go get one from NST.

Done.

Yeah thanks for the suggestion, I will go for NST now. I just need to find a vendor who ships overseas.

Finally got an email back from ZPI five days later after i bought the TRD exhaust from TRD Sparks which I may add has really cheap prices on TRD stuff and both of the guys there I have talked to are awesome , but anyway ZPI said they are way behind on orders and said they could make the exhaust off my car if I went there, but they kept saying they had a crank pulley for my Yaris like in every email they sent. So ya I would be quite cautious especially when I thought they said they had a jig to make their exhaust and I kept asking if I come there dont you have a jig you make them on and no replies to the question evey time I asked.
