Anyone running 205/55-15 on stock rims? Show pics if so!

Just wondering if anyone is running this size tire on the stock rims. It's
a very close size to the stock tire and hardly throws off the sped/odometer
at all. Anyone having clearance issues with them? Please post up some pics.

Im running on 205/55/R15 tyres right now, they feels great and no rubbing issue.
But im not sure if it will fit your stock rims as im using aftermarket rims with width of 6.5 now.
You need to check the width of your stock rims.

It says in the tire and wheel guide that it is a common replacement size for the stock rim? I'd like to see what it looks like, can you take a pic please?

Stock wheels are 5.5" wide. 205's fit widths 5.5-7.5". They'll fit safely and look good.

Just about every wheel/tyre combination on the Yaris will have minor rub at full lock... which is a very rare low speed maneuver. With the set-up we are discussing here, you will not encounter any rubbing issues.

I have 205/50/15s on stock steelies for autocrossing.

I would recommend buying your tire guy some beer, especially if you get tires with a stiff sidewall, they will be really hard to get on to stock wheels.

I can snap some pictures this weekend while I have them on. Or if your near Belle Isle stop by the Grand Prix paddock on Sunday and take a look.

I bought my Yaris used (certified) at a Toyota dealer and it came with 215/50-15's. Yes 215! An odd size for sure but haven't had any problems. I won't get that size again because I want them a little taller next time (195/60/15 is a good size on stalks).

205/55-15's will easily work well and look a lot better than stock.

And as for rubbing, don't be concerned with slight rub on lockout. It's just because the Yaris has the tightest turning radius of any car (a great feature!).

I just installed 13mm Penguin Garage Hub spacers, with a 5mm hub-centric wheel spacer on the driver's side only (because the rear of the HB Yaris is uneven)....and a brand new set of 205/55R15 Yokohama S-drive tires on the stock steel rims. The rest of the car is bone stock.

I rubbed with 205/55/15 when lowered, with some pretty conservative wheels.

I ran 205/55/15 Kumho Tyres with Modellista 40mm Dropped Suspension and never had a problem with rubbing.. And that was with an OEM Toyota Alloy Wheel that i think was a 6.5J Width..
