I think the stock Yaris has enough power

Might sound crazy but this is one peppy torquey little engine, its lightweight body gets propeled just fine for me. I can' imagine headers, test pipe, and a cat back make much of a difference or do they?

PUT IT THIS WAY: would these mods make POWER on a CIVIC?

Every vendor on these forums might hate me for saying it, but if I could do it all over again I would have kept the car stock and saved for FI. Without boost the car is straight line slow. I don't give a shit how many paychecks you bolt onto it.

Same could be said for GOOD coilovers and speed around a road/autox course.

You're kinda right. I/H/E doesn't do a whole heck of a lot but then again neither does the sc. The turbos are a completely different thing though. Still with the sc turned off I can't stand how slow it is. So...

Plus, +10-20whp on a 2000lb car is significant.

Where I live it is all sharp turns and hills, plenty get-up and go for me. I really don't see the need for FI and 93 octane. Maybe +10 hp

I didn't know nothing about cars and this is my first car ever, but after i got this car i realized everything about power and yes its not enough power for me so i did mod it, i got a little bit more pickup but i just like modding it because i can experiment with it until i get my next car. Otherwise I would've gotten a scion tC or a civic si brand new or suttim fast for just a couple thousand dollars more

i need to solder my connections between the fuel controller and the ecu. sometimes when i go full throttle a signal gets lost or something and i lose the supercharger competely. that seldom occurs but theres no point in getting it dynoed if in the middle of a pull i lose all power. once thats done i will get it dynoed. the light weight konig heliums have helped too

Slow? NO! My '84 Prelude only had 100hp with twin weber carbs. Street speed is relative. With the average mom and pop out there on the streets farting along I get passed and around any line of traffic and hang with any 70-80mph freeway speed. It accelerates fine for on ramps and gets me away from the herd with no problem. No, it's not gonna win in the 1/4 mi. but if that's what you want get a Mustang GT for $22k.
As far as improving aspiration...a 10-15% increase in HP is a good improvement on a 2200# car. I don't need it but if I had a few bucks I'd do it.

No one gets a trophy for getting to a red light first so speed is not an issue for me. This car can pull hundreds of pounds of people and gear over mountain passes so torque is not an issue for me.

I've done absolutely nothing to gain any speed or torque and I have never failed to get where I was going in a reasonable time and manner.

This proves that the car does indeed have enough power. Some folks want more power, but want is a long way from need.
