i agree...that's why i have my 500hp camaro, my lifted jeep for fun in the mud, and the yaris...

and yes i'll have a bike soon, thinkin 2009 yamaha r6. 200mph on a 450lb bike aint bad.

Well, with tune and CAI they didn't make that much difference (certainly not worth the $$$) on GTOs like mine unless you also went with cam and heads, then you'd get around 450whp, all motor.

This proves that the car does indeed have enough power. Some folks want more power, but want is a long way from need.
99% of the driving population probably don't drive like you do...see them zoom by you every day? I do, and I drive 65-70mph
Driving habits are hard to change and most people have too much else to worry about to stay glued to a scan gauge's every movement.
If a John Deere can pull a length or two on you during every launch, then yes, the Yaris is all any one would ever need.

So if BailOut was busier he might not care so much about conservation?

It's a mod comparison
Minor bolt-ons on a 6.0 didn't make a whole lot of difference, not until you got serious with heads and cam, or juice, or forced induction, so I doubt it'll do much when you're starting point is about 100hp to work with, instead of 400hp.

No, when most people drive, not every single action, thought and movement is devoted to squeezing every single tenth of a cent out of the money being spent on their next tank of fuel.

The point wasn't about conservation, it was about BailOut saying that no one needs more power, they just want it, but they more than likely don't drive like BailOut, and never will; that was my point.

Nice to know someone else here has a goat too, but i/h/e with a good tune gives you a full 100 more whp. Who do you have tuning your GTO?

haha I know, I didn't mean v8 for real power, can't believe I said that LOL

I love JDM/imports, especially 4 cylinder N/A vehicles with 200+ hp (type r civic/Integra, s2000 etc.)

buy then again evos and sti's freaking rock, and don't get me started on supras!!!!

just don't waste your money modding a yaris if you want to hit low 11's on your DD :P

I like my yaris, buy i'm using it to save money for a race car, my passion :P don't care if It takes years...

I just hate people passing me on their 3 cylinder even smaller and slower cars as if they were driving a big ass truck!

I sold the Goat. Ed Wright does the tunes on GMs around here. I never did the cam, but most that I saw that did got a little over 400hp at the wheels, and 450whp with heads. Some of those Goats were pretty fast. Lots of 11's...I remember one member's blue GTO was into the 9's and still streetable.

^ A shame you sold yours. And yeah 400whp is about what I'm used to. It's just 3 grand for 100-125whp gain is better than the 2,200 I spent on my 25ishwhp sc. :p

My brother went full Kenne Bell kit on his Mustang GT for about 6 grand and gained about 150 whp and about 5 grand on his SRT-4 and gained about 200 whp. I never wanted to spend that much on the GTO mods and demodded it before I sold it...I'll leave 'em stock from now on.

Mainly this:

Stage 4 ... don't know exactly what options he chose, plus turbo-back exhaust..

His 4.10 geared KB Mustang didn't have the top-end, but there wasn't much my GTO could do against that SRT-4

I'd have to ask to be exact, but I'm pretty sure it was 430-440 at wheels and weight should be 2,900-3,000 I believe.
