Strange Whistle Sound at Idle
Bought a 08 yaris base 1.5l last year.
My old belt was replaced like two months ago with a bando, and it worked fine. Last week I replaced the waterpump and coolant because the bearing was bad. I noticed the car had an intermittent whistle/whining sound for a while. I think I've only noticed it once while driving. Today it was driving me crazy and I looked anywhere where there was vacuum hoses, used soapy water, and nothing. I only really notice it on idle. The only possible thing I would think is the alternator bearing. What do you think? I noticed between the head and the block, some burned oil.
