When you see one with the emblems removed, it was modified. The Yaris and Toyota emblems can be easily removed with a little heat or by using dental floss to cut the adhesive behind them. The Toyota logo can also be removed, but from what I have heard, some MK1s do not have holes behind the logo and some have two small alignment holes.

The rear wiper as well can be removed, but a ~25mm hole is left behind that has to either be plugged or patched.

JOOC, would these also be the best methods re removing the 'dealer ID stenciling' that some dealers affix to the lower driver side corner of the hatch? .....My 2007 didn't come with this, but the 2014 did.

That gets a little more complex. You have to add a solenoid to pull or push the lever that used to be flipped by the hatch handle. That solenoid is then driven by a key fob remote and an output of a keyless entry system.

I see, what about the latch that opens the boot from the outside can that be removed?

Yes. That is the purpose of the solenoid - To eliminate the need for the outside latch.
