Has anyone used a Megan cat-back system?

Has anyone tried the Megan cat-back system, was just curious how it would perform and is it worth the price. Looking at different systems and saw this, just thought I would ask first!!

I've never heard of a Megan "cat-back" system.

They make a header, and axle-back exhaust, and soon a mid-pipe to complete the package. Our test midpipe from them should be in pretty soon.

I actually ment axle-back, I get in a hurry some times and type before I think!

^ ah - no worries! The axle-back is really sweet, and it allows our customers to buy one Megan part at a time as they work up to a full bolt-on exhaust system.

I would've done it this way on my Yaris.... oh so many years ago.

I'm thinking of using this (axle-back) system on the Yaris in HS auto-x, do you concider it a worthy performance item?

I think you'll get the most out of it with all three pieces, but I believe an axle-back adds a few horsepower. And on a ~2000 lb car, a few counts.

There are some negative reviews here on positioning of the pipe which touches something in the rear suspension. Despite such negative feedback I still decided to give it a try - kinda like its sound better than Medallion (only can compare using youtube)

Will the megan mid pipe include a high flow cat? I will like to get a direct bolt on mid pipe that includes a high flow cat and not a deleted one. I need the high flow to stay in STF. BUT its looking like custom mid pipe is the only choice right now

No, you'll have to do a custom exhaust for that. It would be tricky choosing a high-flow cat of good quality that would please everyone and it would add significantly to the cost. Much easier for the customer to go pick a cat they like and have it welded in. I believe it will include a resonator and of course, an O2 bung.

I'll have to ask, but I don't think so.

Derrick I'm sure your local exhaust shop can build you a midpipe for pretty cheap and you can pick up high flow cat for under 100.00
