A Month of Transformation...

Hi all,

I just want to share some pics of my 2010 meteorite metallic hatchback and its transformation that took place in just a bit over a month.

Here she was at 1 day old:

Here she is now after a few mods done in this order:
  • Rally sport rear wing
  • Debadged
  • Stripped factory side moldings
  • Removed hood deflector
  • Upgraded wheels/tires (205/40/R17)
  • Stainless exhaust tip
  • Stubby antenna
  • Eibach Prokits 1" lowered (see mild drop thread)
  • Metallic tint 35% all around
  • Aftermarket armrest
  • 'Home Depot' front lip mod

Thanks for looking

.

As far as I know all 2010 now come with body coloured side mirrors, I noticed that while we were at the dealership.

The HD lip idea was from a couple of threads I found here:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27113
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11792

If you really take your time and do it carefully, you can sort of make it appear OEM'ish.

You can check out this thread http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...t=27708&page=4 for more pics and a closer look at my HD front lip.

As for the hood deflector, I'm going to hang on to it. I know it's strange but When I get enough stone chips that's when I'll put it on to cover up the mess, lol.

Thanks Garm. I've been saying that the only thing left for me to do are the fog lights... so, how do you get a set of lamps shipped to a canuck? :)

I have the Genuine Toyota under bumper lip, which comes with extra screws and gromits to fill the vacant holes under the stock bumper. I ordered mine from Belgium. Stock photo.

Your car looks really good. Very classy improvements!

The only thing I would say is to consider yellow fog lights (yellow bulbs with clear lenses). I like the fog light glass lens to be clear because I can put any color bulb in there and change the look easily if I wanted. Yellow bulbs for the fogs looks so great on this color car (I did the same).

The plastic fog covers don't suit your suped up ride. Make sure if/when you do your fogs to order the Toyota headlight/foglight/turn signal control stalk. Look around at DIY here. You'll get the factory install, and have contol of the fogs where the headlights and turn signal are.

Meteorite Metallic FTW!!!

Lol thanks

I actually found this detailed DIY fog lights installation with lots of pics and talks about the control stalk you speak of.

It sure looks like a like a daunting task but I'm willing to give it a shot: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forum...howtopic=22446

Really good DIY; very accurate description of the process.

I have the Genuine Toyota Fog Light Installation Guide if you want as well. Its in PDF format, and same one the mechanics use.

Let me know if you're interested and I can send. More info the better.
