rubber rubbing noise from front right of car
rubber rubbing noise from front RIGHT of car. I would think it is my ball joint but i have never heard a ball joint make such a noise. it only happens when i turn the car, it used to only do it when i had a passenger in the car but now it does it off an on. I took it to the dealership the other month to have them look at it when they changed my oil (was still under warranty then) but i'm pretty sure they just ignored me and didn't bother to look.

have you lowered your car? If not schedule a warranty repair with your dealership and make them look at it. Your car is far too new to be making weird noises.
And I only ask about lowering because your tires could be rubbing.

it is lowered, I lowered it 1.8inches the week I bought it. so I would assume they would tell me that it isn't covered, and I'm pretty sure that may warranty ran out in April.

I guess i will have to get it jacked up and see what is there is any damage. I was thinking it was because of weight on that side of the car but it has seemed to start occurring more often. I just hope it doesn't do anything on my little trip to Charlotte today. well hopefully the 200 mile of highway driving will improve my average mpg :D

I finally figures this out..I think.
It appears that the rubber boot on the steering arms is rubbing on the bolt/bracket for the sway bar. any ideas how to make this stop doing that? I figured it out when i had a few guys from class in my car and I also kept hearing this weird pop noise, turns out the pop was from the exhaust hitting the ground on the not so desirably rough roads in Columbia. so now more extra passengers in my car, might as well take out the back seats now. :D
