Cool It Worked!

Well, I decided that the base coat and clear coat were dry enough to withstand 15 minutes of being masked off while I painted the black outer portion. I'd say that it looks pretty good. Just need to let the paint cure and to fix up the edges where the body color and black meet up.

That looks great!
I tried doing something similar a couple of years ago but failed tremendously. Let's just say that I didn't know about paint stripper being so good at melting plastic.

Thanks! If I had to do it again, I'd stick with the "sombrero" emblem, just take it apart and paint one half body color and the other black. No masking and all that tedious detailed work!

Ha, I still have my sombrero sitting safely in the top drawer of my tool chest with the rest of my emblems!

But if anything happens to my painted Netz one now and I don't feel like fixing it... I'd gladly donate it to the "mr._miles Modge Podge Sticker Bomb Parts Fund"!
