spark plug data

Does anyone know the reach, hexagon size and tightening torque for the iridium plugs fitted to the new yaris? Denso ref. SC20HR11.
NGK ref ILKAR7B11. I have searched the relevant websites but these would seem to be a new plug and the websites are not up to date. Many thanks to anyone who can supply the information.

Regards Geoff Peace.

16mm, 183 kgcm (13 ft lb)

That is actually the same as for all of the Yaris engines (1.0, 1.3, 1.5, 1.8).

How often do the iridium spark plugs need to be replaced? Is it 120,000 miles? OP, are you replacing yours?

Thanks!

Thankyou for your replies everyone. Book says replace at 60,000 miles which means 30,000 miles for me. I have since found out from NGK plugs that they are 14mm. hexagon 15-20Nm torque and 26.5mm. reach. If plugs are not removed for a long time the intermetallic reaction means they can be the very devil to remove and have been known to snap. With such a long reach and only M8 thread I intend to remove them say every two years and coat the threads with copper grease.

Ahh, you have the new 1NR-FE in your Yaris, not the 2NZ-FE or 2ZE-FE.

Yes it has iridium plugs and I was being very careful not to overtighten them.
