Damnit!! I can't resist. I'm gonna go broke but what a steal compared to the TRD pricing. Also how does this go down? Never done a group buy before. Will he just tell us when to pay and stuff??

just keep checking, the DIY will be posted to. I agree with marcus, doesn't hurt to shave a dollar where you can. It is visable in the engine right?

I think we are getting a bargain imho, though I would not turn down a discount!
Like the fact they still to this day probaly haven't made a dime of this piece, yet I'm sure they have many hours invested in its design/production/planning. So right now technicaly they are in the hole on the shifter. My 2c

Ding Ding Ding, and we have a winner

Come on guys, you should be supporting one of yarisworld's best sponsors instead of trying to complain and low-ball. This attitude is the kind of thing that drives companies to go and build products for Hondas instead of us Toyota owners. And then we stand around wondering what happend

The price is great compared to TRD it's a steal! I see what YarisGuy is saying and I respect that!

I also see where Marcus is coming from. He means good, but sometimes it can do more harm.

If NST wants to give us more of a discount then I am more then willing to take it. If they don't, I'd understand and won't mind because I'm "steal" getting a great price. *pun intended( I'm sorry I'm a fob so it sounds the same to me =p)*

I'm all for a cheaper alternative (I was one of those that bought the TRD one) but aren't you guys overstating things a little about R&D and all?

It looks for all intents and purposes like a TRD part, except you get a choice of colour?

Like I said, $90 shipped beats $141 plus shipping anytime, and its hidden away in the engine bay, and should feel the same, so it doesn't matter if its TRD or NST, but one would sure feel the difference of 50 bucks in their pocket.

I only wish they'd put it out earlier, I would have bought an NST instead.

nst has priced its products at a reasonable rate. look at the corolla, people always bitch that there is no support and when there is people dont have the money to buy it cuz of the price, im one who wanted a car with lots of aftermarket support and at least i have options, chinocharles at least got mike interested in manufacturing this fine product. if he has to lower the cost then it might be of cheaper quality due to manufacturing costs and other expenses. remember quality is always better than quantity. still 50 less than the trd version. nst for the win!!!

I'm sure they had it easy "taking some notes" from the trd design,I think some people don't realise that the first few sold aren't even for profit, they typicaly cover overhead. Thats why they needed 14 I bet, thats the turning point that they probaly start to get some money out of it. We are baisicly all investors, and in return we get a product at a better price than normal,we will be the first 25-?? people in the world to get them too. I'm not saying we should or should not get a bigger discount,as I would be happy to get one,I'm cheap like most people.

well i say 2 up for nst... i really dont see any complaints in here i dont know why people think there is, it is obviously cheaper than TRD. my own statement only specified a significant order amount which exceed nst expectations which could also lead to more discount..."people pls read the whole statement b4 responding" there is no complaints in here only an attempt to save people money..geeeez!

even though the part and labor only cost them $25 dollars a piece,
and they selling it for $90 bucks a piece is still way better compare to TRD.

All I know is so far this has been one of the most successful group buys these boards have ever seen and we still have a week to go! Keep the love coming. If you drive a manual Yaris, you will enjoy this mod. No doubt about it.

I WISH my cost on each piece was $25, I WISH!!! And keep in mind that we have to build at least 50 of these pieces each time we decide to build a batch. Then we have to sit around and hope that you guys will come around and buy them. 50 X actual costs = $$$$$$$$.

Maybe we should move our factories to china and employ child labor like some of our competition instead of building here in the USA. And maybe we should raise our MSRP up to around $140 per piece and charge you big shipping since that seems to be the going price for TRD and TWM. Perhaps we should offer only one color as well, instead of giving you guys a choice to make your yaris more your own.

Thank you for the great support everyone
