QUESTION:
I have mine installed this way: I purchased the base for the bulbs but when i removed the bumper i found that the factory harness and plug was already there, followed the cable inside the dash and removed from the plug, connected that cable to a relay and from the relay to a fuse and that to a live line to the battery. The relay is powered by the key switched line and then to a switch. Problem is that the line marked in red in the diagram gets hot. Is this normal or what should i do to prevent this??? Kitt

Low in should be the line that comes from your switch, low out should be ground, 30a in, from your battery and 30a out should go to your fogs... This is a standard type of relay, they usually have a diagram printed on its side, if you could post a picture of it i may help you better

Pix
My PC is not downloading the relay pix. I'm not sure why. I will downloaden tomorrow at work. The relay does not show any wiring diagram. It only says YLE YL-388-S Automotive relay 12V/40A. I got 4 connectors and they're all the same size. I will post pix tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

ummmm not that much tough... you will need a continuity tester then to find it out. The 2 connectors that have continuity are ones that will go to the switch and to the ground, the other two ones will come from the fuse to the fog lights...
and try to post a bigger picture to see if it helps, focused on the pins of the relay

Thank you.
I found the correct connection. I did use the continuity tester. I will post pictures of working fog lights soon. I'm installing a front strut bar and will post pictures all together. Thank you for your help.

Hey guys, I think that I am going to try and tackle this myself. Did you have to remove the bumper to install the fog lights?
Thanks, MYT |

I went though the wheel well and front bumper......not very smart but it got the job done and I ended up with a lot of bruises from my arm being squashed in there
