That is a nice color contrast. How was the threading? Was it easy to screw in to the socket? Mine was a bit resistant at first, but probably because i never used it. After taking it off and then re-installing, the second run was much easier.

I had bought the elevo d-1 style from microimageonline.com when I first got my car , so the treads had been used once before . It treaded in perfect the first time and it's at full tightness stright up and down . I kinda wanted to try installing it flat( how most seem to be installing it) but it stopped treading in close to up and down and another 1/5 of a turn locked it into place how it looks in the pictures. I'm very pleased with the finished product , over finish , colors , fitment , looks, and price own . NST ftw

Mine also sits vertically at full turn. But for aesthetic looks, I turn it back a 1/4 turn to get it horizontally. Surely, when I do use, I'll tighten it fully with the tire iron.

Tim, they're anodized aluminium, you can't really just spraypaint over that...

We should start a poll: "NST Tow Hook: vertical vs. horizontal.... FTW?"

anodizing just does not last in the sun. I'll probably powdercoat mine.

Nice. How hard would it be to powdercoat with them being anodized? I only ask since a local guy has a powdercoat that closely matches the color of my car.
