placement of Vitz emblem?

ok, sue me for wanting this perfect, but has anyone actually measured for the exact JDM placement of the "Vitz" emblem for the left rear on the L/B?

:bump:

Most pictures on the 'net show right placement, but the Japanese Toyota website clearly shows left placement.

A small toy vitz i bought shows the placement on the left as well. The right side would be incorrect (but is correct for the USDM Yaris emblem).

Sounds like you want it to be exact!!!

So, you've got to contact a Vitz owner in Japan to get the exact measurements for factory placement of that emblem.

From all the pics I've seen, it is in the exact location that we have the toyota emblem. Measure mark and place, done!!

1) Take tape [the papery kind] and outline the "Yaris" on the right, but extend the top and bottom all the way past the center and to the tail lights. Make sure the tape is as straight as possible. [It might not be parallel to the ground because the emblem is not 100% parallel, it's a bit slanted]
2) Reflect the 2 lines from the center by measuring where the lines are in comparison to the tail lights.
3) Measure the position of the beginning and end of the "Yaris" emblem and make the marking on the left side [draw on the tape]
4) Place Vitz in the center of the left side.
5) Take a picture and upload to YW.

PS While you are at it, do a picture DIY as well. That would be awesome.

woohooo I just got the Netz and Vitz... now the question is.... how do you remove the "Yaris" emblem off the hood? Do I get a hair dryer and blow at the emblem until it removes?

actually, I just yanked the front emblem right off with a pair of pliers, and nothing broke. The new one just snaps into the holes.
