Looking for a new radio.
I'm looking for a new radio to replace my factory one. The requirements are short, but sweet:
-Must match the current 'amber' theme of the '10 Yaris and not be protrusive in hue -Non-touchscreen - single DIN preferred -Must be SAT ready -Must be HD-equipped Any suggestions? |

You leave the door wide open. Let us narrow the choices down a bit. What's you budget? What brand biases do you lean toward?

This JVC alows you to adjust the color of the screen and backlighted controlls.
There is also lower end versions of it. Both are SAT and HD radio ready, just have to get the add on tuners for them respectivly. |

I do believe he wants HD raido built in. And from what I've read from customer reviews, it seems with HD radio signals being womewhat weaker, that the radio's with it built in seem to get better marks about reception than the seperate tuner. You'd think it would be the opposite with a specialized tuner,but.....

I hope this link works, as it for my car. 2010 sedan, and is for radios with built in HD that fit Yaris.

I'm quite partial to JVC and Alpine as I've had good experiences with them in the past; conversely, you can cross Clarion and Kenwood off the list unless they're absolutely 100% spot-on aesthetically speaking. I really want this radio to look like it came with the car! >.< By the way... Is the SAT button on the stock HU a lie? I don't see anything on the unit that says SAT-ready, or else I'd forego a new head unit altogether and just add satellite. |
