Sounds like you have all the necessary bits, well the best solution would be to go back to the guy who installed it back in 2007 and get him to install the antenna properly outside of the car. Unless you're intending to DIY.

I don't trust the guy. He is a pig. That was the first and only time that he'll ever touch my car.
