Ok, thanks a lot for answering.
Yeah, a gearbox related problem has been my conclusion as well during the last few weeks. Then I can probably rule out anything engine related since the car sounds just fine with clutch engagedand when stationary. What is usually the failure symptom of an input shaft bearing besides the noise? Will the gearbox just crap out completely one day, or will the noise get worse and worse, to the point it gets unbearable to drive the car? Is this a normal problem with Yarises, or could the bearing have been damaged during the install of the new clutch? |
