Possible Part Out- 2009 Yaris HB

Hey YW-

I'm sure some of you have seen my crusty Yaris up for sale on the forum. I'm not getting any interest and the usual suspects on CL are a pain to deal with. In short, if nothing materializes besides spam and $5 CL offers, then I'll probably sell it to a salvage yard and rip out a few items- hitch, floor mats, cruise control, etc.

Anyway- I wanted to see if there is any interest in major parts from YW members. If I could turn this into a weekend effort and strip a few major things and then scrap the rest, it might be worth it. I don't want to take up a lot of storage space and time with the project.

BTW- Anything heavy or bulky will only be available for local pickup in CNY.

Let me know

Man... I'd hate to see it scrapped. Dammit.

Hey there! Do you have a trunk cover? I've been looking online and can't seem to find one.

Let me see if I can find the luggage cover. I believe it's stored somewhere.

In PA need a hitch. What is CNY near?
Give a link to photo(s) here. 2-door hatch? How are closures--hood, hatch, doors? What color?

Hitch was sold with the car yesterday.

See this youtube video for a pretty accurate description of the car.

SOLD!

The Yaris has been sold, but I have some parts to get rid of. Without going through the pile, below are a few items that I recall. Pictures and prices to come.

New in box Denzo starter- I believe it will only work with automatic transmission Yari

All the factory floor mats, including the trunk area mat. The floor mats are in really nice shape, because I removed them from the car before my first winter with it. The only exception is the trunk mat, which has some stains and dirt... But it's not terrible looking.

Thule tire chains, designed for the stock 15" Yaris tires.

4- 15" All season tires with TPMS mounted on wheels with only around 20k of wear (I'll measure the exact tread left soon). ($200 dollars- local pickup only) Two of the rims are weird looking universal 5 & 4 lug rims, but they worked on my Yaris just fine for years. I'm commuting between Syracuse and NYC over the next few weeks, so if you don't want to drive to Syracuse, then maybe we can meet up somewhere.

CTScott Cruise control 2 button switch $20 shipped- You will need to buy a clutch switch if you have a manual. See the install guide for more info. This "mod" massively reduced my fatigue on trips. Best upgrade ever...

I think.... I have a new tie rod end that's missing the castle nut. Might be for another car... Need to check the part #
