I haven't done anything yet. One thing that really helps is to be sure that the control is set for RECIRCULATION and not for pulling in fresh air, and then rolling the front windows down about 6" until the car begins to cool.

I need to get a shade for the windshield at least, even if I don't do anything else.

I can't find the thread where you posted about your A/C trouble, but I wanted to let you know that we had a heat wave this WE, in California and my car's AC got overwhelmed for the first time as well, just like yours. I turned it on and nothing came but hot air, so eventually, I just turned it off. Hope it's not broken! Anyway, I think I'll be looking into windows tinting as well, now. Tom(ato) in California.
