original factory front speaker

Hi there,

may i know how many inches is our Yaris Hatchback 2008 front speaker?

because i am thinking of getting a split that fit the original size, any good and cheap splits that u guys can think of? # i have 2 spare channel from my current amplifier which has 40rms watts X 2.

splits?


oem front speakers are 5.25" but you are better off fitting 6.5" without any modifications.

he's probably talking component speakers when he says "splits" he's from pert, which makes him an aussie. Gotta keep in mind the vernacluar people round the world might use.


If running components, If you want the tweet hidden in the stock location 5.25's could probably allow for your tweet and mid to be mounted and hidden without any problems. HOWEVER, the 6.5" with the tweet mounted in a visable place SHOULD (key word) give you better sound.... it all depends on how they are installed and which way that point.

5.25's can't play much below 100hz... or sometimes 120hz. 6.5's often times can play down to 80hz without problems. If you don't have subs, and want the slightest bit of bass you'll want the 6.5's.
