New HU install help

Bought the JVC KD AVX44,

And I went into some problems when trying to connect the wires from the HU to the metra harness (70-1761) and I really need you guys to help me out.
So what is this orange with black stripe wire for, theres no description for it on the plastic bag.

Also, i should just leave this brown wire (tel muting) from the HU alone, right?

Finally, should I connect this orange with white stripe wire (it said for dimmer)from the metra harness side to the orange with white stripe wire from the HU side (it said for illumination control)??

Thanks!

1. The orange/black wire in the first picture would be the telephone muting wire if we had the OEM HU with the bluetooth interface.

2. Unless you have a handsfree system in your car, you won't use the brown wire.

3. Yes orange/white hooks to orange/white.

I didn't bother w/ the illum on my kd-avx44j. Using the proximity feature is useful if u r going to wave ur hand (to light up the keys) and then go for tapping the keys. if u are going for a direct stab of the keys(especially at night) its best to keep the diplay lit all the time. I never used the telephone muting wire either; i could never figure out a good application.
Remember:
1. Ground the really long cable that is supposed hook up to the parking brake or wahtever( easy video hack)
2. The USB has a FAT32, 64.4 gig, 250 folder, 5000 file limit. It will accept drives lager than what was just specified, but it will only read the first "" of each category. The Unit does NOT "cache" the files either on the unit or the usb drive, so it will re-read every time you change the source.(taking about 10-30 secs).
