Looking at an 07' Yaris LB Any input?

We are looking at purchasing a 2007 model Yaris LB with 81K miles on it. I have a Camry now and have driven a Corolla as well and loved both. The car has a clean Carfax report and is in excellent condition....just needs a good detailing. Are there any mechanical issues that we should be aware of with this model Yaris? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Not really, no. It is a toyota. The Yaris has been rock solid stable, and no real mass problems of any type have shown up.

Ask if the catalytic converter has been changed . There was a recall on the 07 LB .

Find out if the AC evaporator has been replaced. If you do a little searching here for "stink" you will find that 06-08 Yaris can have an issue with the AC really stinking. There is a Toyota service bulletin on the issue (which you'll run into in the AC stink threads).

460,000+ miles and counting. Keep a thousand dollars aside and you'll be able to fix(or replace) anything that *might* break. The engine in mine was swapped at 250K(reason unknown) because the repair was more than the cost of a complete replacement(low mileage wrecking yard swap).
