Removing a yaris grill
I bought a trd grill emblem for my car. Went to put it on noticed that the yaris is tight as hell under the hood. Can anyone share some info on how to pop out the grill so that I can put on the emblem? I see I wont be doing to much of the mods on my car myself. I can take apart stuff but putting back together is another story when it comes to cars. Lol
I want to add a air intake, exhaust, and rear sway bar. 2010 5door liftback. Last edited by henrystyle; 02-19-2011 at 07:56 AM. Reason: added on |

My grille was really hard to remove and I had to take off the front bumper....this is super easy...
under the car up front are 3 screws...10mm take them out. under hood on the bumper are some pop out pins, black plastic....pop them out. in each wheel well up front is another pop pin...take that out. seems if I remember there is also a 10mm screw under the fender liner behind the pin in wheel well, but that may of been on my tC. then take the bumper at the side where it meets the fender and give it a tug and it comes loose from the fender, then you do other side and the bumper can at that point be mostly pulled right off. Shold take like 30 min first time, after that it takes like 5 min to do lol. Popping out the grille it is easier with a friend to keep the tabs pushed out and grille moving out the bumper...you will see...took me longer to get the grille out than the bumper off... |

Finished installing the grill emblem. You don't have to take off the bumper, just remove the belly pan & you can reach to Install it. For the emblem buy nuts with nylon inserts so they stay locked on. You can also trim the bolts to the emblem they are very long, I trimmed mine with a grinder. Grill emblems give the Yaris a nice look.

That worked for me on my 07. Really tight though... and some seriously scraped knuckles! No place to install the RS emblem on the grille of the 14, but I did put one on the hatch. |

Anybody have luck removing a 2015-2016 bumper? I'm guessing it's similar but was looking for a heads up before I start. Thanks.
