How can I remove hub caps?
Just wondering why many people removed their hub caps?
How can I remove that? Thanks a lot! |

Pull them off! If you can't muster enough muscle, just use something to pry them off like a screwdriver. You won't break anything.
And yes, a lot of us are rolling without hubcaps. Check out the Yaris Garage for pictures. |

I used a wooden tapperd shim to gently get them started without marring the wheel. When I got them just started I pulled them off with my mits.

Not hard at all. They are held on with a wire ring that is snapped into clips on back side of wheel cover. My hands were not stronfg enough--I had to feel around for the wire then get a screwdriver under there and pull.

You'll have to take the car to the dealer. They have a special Hubcap Remover Tool.
No seriosuly, I pulled mine off with my teeth.

If you have the locking kind, then it can be a little tricky. I would unlock it first THEN pry it off...you know, like when you go to change a flat tire. BUT first I would put the car in "park" then engage the emergency brake (the handle with the button on the end between the two front seats). Now, when you go to pry off the hubcap you want to make sure you do not mark up your tire! As far as putting it back on..well, er....I never went that far so I couldn't tell you how to do that. Maybe some Gorilla glue?

Your cool on that unless you replaced the stockers with the lowered hubcaps. |

I had mine off about 5 seconds after I got the keys. They look horrible IMO. Looks better with just the Steelies for sure.
