The search for smoothies!
Hello everyone, sorta new here but I think I can hang! Anyway, I'm curious to see if anyone knows where I can find a set of 4x100 smoothies? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've gone a bunch of research on this. I had these for a while:
Rays Texan Shot Guns (16x7 +37) on 205/50/16 Yokahama AVS ES100. Wish I still had them. If you're going the smoothie route, there are a couple of companies that offer chromed steel smoothies in 4x100. Most were used by the first-generation Scion xB guys. There's Diamond Racing: http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/i...smoothie-wheel Allied Wheel http://www.alliedwheel.com/wheel.php?name=Smoothie You could also check with Stockton Wheel: http://www.stocktonwheel.com/ The biggest hurdle will be finding ones with offsets that you want. Alternatively, if you've got cash, you could look into finding some WORK Leadsleds, which are awesome. However, they're rare and pricey. My ultimate find would be to find some Volk Rays Garcia Tune Speed Choppys with the mirror discs.

Hey thanks man! It's my understanding that I will not be able to put baby moons on the Diamond Racing wheels. I couldn't find a 4x100 in the Allied Wheel and couldn't get in touch with them. I did however get in contact with Stockton Wheels and they are looking into it for me. Thanks again!

Keeps us (me!) updated. I'd love to hear what you find. Another tip: Keep an eye out for VW stuff. (VW Vortex's 4x100 classifieds)

Well it looks like I'm not finding a set anytime soon. I called around and got a couple quotes....$1800 and $1600 for custom 4x100 smoothies. Not thanks! I think what I'm going to do for now, is buy a set of Ford Focus 15 spoke OEM wheels. Great quality and look. Why not be different?! I'm about to install my Megan coilovers in about an hour or so. Once I knock that out, I'll start looking for smoothies again. Any more help or opinions would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Woah! That's pretty pricey. What about doing something like a mildly widened steel wheel and inserting a land-speed disc in the center? (See the blue Rabbit on my blog: http://www.subcompactculture.com/201...mall-cars.html)
By the way, I believe Focus wheels are 4x108, FYI. (My 2001 ZX3 certainly was)

I know the Fiesta takes 4x108. There is no way the Focus would be 4x100.

I'm 90% sure the focus uses a different lug spacing. Although I'm a fan of the style too :)

Damn. You guys are right. I saw a post that listed them as 4x100 and just assumed they where. Looks like I got my hopes up for nothing. The reason I'm looking into smoothies is simply because I want something different. I just don't understand why people what so much for wheels they make in there garage. Any other suggestions on wheels guys? I'm looking for 16" or 17". I like my "no wheel gap look" that I can get without havering to go stupid low to close my gap on a set of 15" wheels. Any input is appreciated guys. Thanks!

If the tires are sized properly to maintain close to OE total diameter, the wheel gap remains relatively unchanged whether 15, 16 or 17 inch.
Now if you are happening not to care about throwing off the speedo/odo and are planning to wrap wheels in oversized rubber, then have at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In my opinion, there is a big difference in fender to tire gap looks and how fender to wheels look. I'm running 17x7 Motegi wheels with 205x40x17 and love the way they mount up. Anyway, back to the topic of this thread. It's looking like Diamond Racing is going to be my only option...

Gotcha. So used to the term 'wheel gap' as the distance between rubber and fender. So you're referring to the use of larger wheels to create the illusion of lesser gap.

Off topic again lol, but no. I'm talking about the use of bigger wheels so they are easier to "tuck" or to get closer to the fender with out having to "slam" my car for the same result like I would have to do with 15" wheels.
