72mm Throttle Body

For now, I'm doing the 1ZZ TB swap to my 1NZ-FE until I do the 2ZR-FE swap.
I was browsing through the internet and came across this:

https://gramsperformance.com/inducti...w-frs-brz.html

The stock TB size for the BRZ/FRS are 65mm, like the 2ZR-FE. Sooooo... yeah... I didn't see any threads about it. Those with the 2ZR engine already have you thought about doing this?

The FT/BRZ/FRS use a Subaru engine, no idea if the TB is compatible with Toyota ECUs. You'd have to check the pin compatibility as well as signals since the connector is completely different. I suspect that it's not compatible with the mounting stud spacing either so you'd have to make an adapter like Tooter did for his crazy manifold project.

Ambitious? Yes. Worth the engineering involved? Maybe.

I forgot about this... LOL! Actually the stock TB connector looks the same as the one for the Toyota. What is the stock TB size for the 2ZR-FE, 55mm? The stock TB for the FRS is 65mm. Mix that with the 2ZZ intake manifold...

I wonder what gains will you get if any?

I'm still sporting the 1NZ engine...

The auto hobby shop that I go to is currently shutdown by COVID. The only thing I can do for now is install the 1ZZ TB to play around with it my Dee Dee.
