Subs and ohms and amps -- oh my!
I have an MTX Audio MXA6001 amp. It's 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms, and 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms. I have a 12" MTX Audio T5512-04 sub paired with it, single 4 ohm voice coil, 300 watts RMS. I thought it sounded good, if that gives you any baseline about my audiophile-ness.
Anyways, that sub is too big for the Yaris IMO, it just won't fit properly. So, I am going to buy a new, smaller 10" sub. I'm going to build a new enclosure that will be a maximum of 1 cubic foot. I will decrease the size accordingly with whatever the manufacturer of the sub suggests. Anyone have a suggestion for a sub? I'm open to anything as long as it's under, say about $140.00 -- less is always better.
