Tip on Echo/Yaris seats for tall drivers
I assume the seats in the Yaris will be the same as in the Echo. The only problem I had with my Echo was that, since I was tall, the seat had a very short support under my thighs, and, since I drive in it all day as a courier, I used to get very tired after sitting in it for long. I solved this problem by getting a padded cushion and placing a very thick piece of cardboard under the pad so that it gave an extended area ( about 3 inches) for under thigh support. It made a HUGE difference for long drives, although it does requre adjusting it every time you sit down.
I also found a great lumbar pad that straps onto the back of the seat at Relax the Back and added greatly to my seating comfort. In the new Yaris there is at least a seat height adjustment knob. |

seat adjustment
Seat height adjustment, from what I have read/heard, is only available in the sedan, not the liftback.

The other thing you could do is buy an aftermarket seat. You can get them as low as $150, or prolly less. If you spend all day in your car, it might be worth it.
I plan to add the lightest aftermarket seats I can find when I get my Yaris. |
